Zamalek is in talks with Switzerland\'s Alain Gieger and Portugal\'s Nelo Vingada as possible candidates to replace Hassan Shehata as coach should the latter follow through on his resignation, board member Ibrahim Youssef said on Thursday. Vingada trained Zamalek in 2004 and guided the team to their last victory in the Egyptian League. Geiger, meanwhile, guided Algerian side ES Steif to the double League-Cup this season. Zamalek\'s coach Hassan Shehata tendered his resignation last Friday after the club\'s board failed to answer his demands concerning the removal of Mahmoud Abdel-Razek \"Shikabala\" from the club. This followed a touchline row during Zamalek\'s 2-0 win over Maghreb Fes in the CAF Champions League two weeks ago. Zamalek\'s president Mamdouh Abbas has refused to accept Shehata\'s resignation and will try and convince the coach to remain in his post when they meet this Friday. From ahram
