Lucio close to Juventus switch
London - Arabstoday
Brazilian defender Lucio will undergo a medical on Wednesday to complete his move to Juventus, the Turin club have confirmed. The Italian champions have beaten Fenerbahce and Malaga in the race to sign the 34-year-old. Lucio was tied for one more year to Inter Milan but terminated his contract with the Nerazzurri outfit earlier this week. A statement from Juventus read: \"Today is the day for Lucio to undergo a medical. The Brazilian defender has arrived in Turin this morning to undergo the appropriate medical examinations at the Sessant Clinic of Fornaca.\" Lucio is expected to sign a two-year contract with I Bianconeri. The South American joined Inter from Bayern Munich in 2009 and won the Serie A and UEFA Champions League titles in his first season in Italy. When asked about Lucio\'s imminent move to Juve, Inter president Massimo Moratti said on the club\'s website: \"These things happen in football. When you rescind a contract, a player is free to go wherever he wants to.\"

to 'eternal style' of late Alaia
Paris - Emiratesvoice
Two months after legendary designer Azzedine Alaia's sudden death plunged the fashion world into mourning, an exhibition in homage to the "King of Cling" opens Monday in his studios in Paris. The Tunisian-born designer, renowned for the way his clothes hugged the body, died suddenly in November aged 82, reportedly of heart failure after falling down the stairs at his home. The diminutive maverick, who ignored fashion week convention by showing when and where he wanted, in July produced his first couture collection in six years to rapturous reviews. Now some of his most iconic dresses are going on display in the glass-roofed gallery next to his studio and home in the Marais district where he used to show his creations. It includes the dress worn by supermodel Naomi Campbell, his longtime friend and muse, when she led
