Bellefonte - UPI
The father of ex-Penn State assistant football coach Mike McQueary said Wednesday his son described seeing Jerry Sandusky in a locker room shower with a boy. Testifying during the third day of Sandusky\'s trial, John McQueary Sr. said his son had told him he saw Sandusky close to the boy in a shower in a Penn State locker room, the Centre Daily Times reported. The father said Mike McQueary first heard noises. \"His description for me was a slapping, rhythmic, kind of thrusting, slapping sound,\" John McQueary said. John McQueary said his son told him he had seen Sandusky close to the boy, who was against the shower wall. The father said his son said something to the effect of, \"It didn\'t take a rocket scientist to figure out what was going on.\" The testimony came a day after Mike McQueary testified he had seen in a mirror the reflection of a naked Sandusky pressed against the backside of a nude boy in the shower, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. McQueary, a graduate assistant football coach at the time, said the incident happened one night when he had returned to the Lasch football building on campus. John McQueary said he had no doubt his son had interrupted Sandusky having sex with the boy in a locker room shower. John McQueary also testified Wednesday he did not remember testifying in Harrisburg seven months ago in a perjury case against two former Penn State administrators about his son\'s saying he had seen Sandusky in an \"extremely sexual\" situation with a young boy in a shower. The testimony in the December hearing focused on what Mike McQueary had told his father he had seen in the shower, the Daily Times said. John McQueary said he didn\'t recall the December testimony in response to questions about it from defense attorney Karl Rominger. Senior Judge John Cleland stopped Rominger from further questioning John McQueary about saying he didn\'t remember testifying. The judge noted the witness had said he wasn\'t at the hearing. Sandusky, 68, has denied allegations he abused at least 10 boys during a 15-year period. Prosecutors maintain he met his victims through The Second Mile, the charity he founded for underprivileged youth in 1977, and abused many of them on the Penn State campus.
