The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) held an honouring ceremony at the QOC House (Bayt Qatar) in London for the Arab Athletes who won medals at the 2012 Olympic Games to conclude on Sunday. The function was attended by HE the Secretary General of Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani in addition to heads of delegations of Arab National Olympic Committees, members of the Qatari delegation and the honoured Arab athletes. HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, The QOC Secretary General honoured Taoufik Makhloufi who claimed the gold medal of 1500m event on 07 August 2012. In addition, HE QOC Secretary General honoured the Egyptian Wrestler Karam Gaber who clinched silver medal of Men\'s 84kg Greco-Roman on 06 August 2012. Taoufik Makhloufi said that the honouring ceremony of the QOC will be an incentive for him to win more medals in the upcoming championships. Makhloufi extended his appreciation to HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, The QOC Secretary General for the honouring ceremony held for the Arab Athletes. On the other hand, Karam Gaber was delighted by his medal which was the second silver medal for Egypt in London Olympics. Gaber also congratulated HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, The QOC Secretary General on the bronze medal of Nasser Al-Attiyah in Men’s Skeet event and the bronze medal of Mutaz Barshim of Men’s High Jump Competition.
