4 villages inundated in South Pakistan

Four villages were flooded under water due to breach in canal destroying standing crops on hundreds of acres of land in southern Pakistan. According to details, a twenty-meter breach emerged in Feeder Canal near Gambat area of Khairpur late on Monday night. The water flooded four villages and crops cultivated on hundreds of acres of land, Pakistani SAMAA TV reported. The local people, on self help basis, started the efforts to fill the breach but no official of irrigation department or district administration visited the scene. The flood water damaged the stone and mud houses resulting in losses worth millions.
