An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale jolted Halmahera northern Indonesia today, the US Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with determined initially at the confluence of the Latitude 1.5316 degrees north longitude 127.3233 degrees east longitude, has hit the region at a depth of 113.60 under the earth's surface.
