A strong earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale hit Pakistan on Thursday. According to Pakistani news channel (AAJ News), earthquake tremors were felt within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and other cities of Punjab. The earthquake tremors were also felt in Peshawar, Swat, Malk Waal, Gilgit, Hunza, Lahore. The epicenter of the earthquake has been reported to be the HinduKush mountains. Tremors were also felt in the Afghanistan province of Badakshan. No casualties or any damage to property have been reported following the quake.
