An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale jolted Banda Sea, southeast of Maluku province, according to Indinesia\'s (Antara) News Agency. According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the epicentre of the earthquake was located at 5.34 degrees southern latitude and 131.38 degrees eastern longitude, 157 kilometres southeast of Tual city, Maluku, 396 km southeast of the provincial capital of Ambon, and 2,733 km northeast of Jakarta, at a depth of 12 km below sea level. The earthquake was not strong enough to trigger a tsunami
