Ajman, Finland explore joint cooperation in environmental issues

Chairman of the Department of Municipal and Planning?? Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, today received Finnish Ambassador to UAE Ilkka-Pekka Simila and visiting Finnish government delegation. The meeting explored prospects for joint cooperation and exchange of expertise in a broad range of issues regarding municipal services, waste recycling and disposal and conservation of the environment. Sheikh Rashid said the emirate of Ajman was aspiring to become a world environment model in waste management and welcomed foreign initiatives that enable it delivers its goal as a world environmental-friendly emirate. Sheikh Humaid gave instructions for commissioning a study on potential areas of joint environmental cooperation with Finland.
