Avalanche reported at skifield near New Zealand\'s Queenstown

There have been reports of avalanche at the Remarkables skifield near New Zealand South Island resort town of Queenstown on Thursday afternoon. The Southland Times reported that St John ambulances had been deployed to the scene, while police were still trying to establish facts. The avalanche was reported at about 3.15 p.m. (03:15 GMT).
