
An earthquake measuring 4.1 on Richter scale jolted Bandar Khamir and its vicinity in Iran's southern province of Hormuzgan Thursday morning.
The seismological base affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the quake at 08:50 hours local time (04:20 hours GMT).
The epicenter of the tremor was in an area locates 28.86 degrees in latitude and 55.24 degrees in longitude, (IRNA) reported.
No report was immediately available on possible damage caused by the tremor.
