
A forest fire was extinguished on Friday morning after raging for two days in southwest China's Yunnan Province, with no causalities reported, said local authorities. At around 1 a.m. Friday, nearly 4,000 firefighters, forest policemen and civilians managed to put out the open flame, which started at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday on the Wangjiajian mountain in Lufeng County, said the local forest fire prevention headquarters. Helicopters, fire trucks and excavators were also sent to aid in the firefighting work, according to the headquarters. ' The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
