Heavy rains will hit south and southwest China over the next three days, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) warned on Monday. The NMC forecasts torrential rains will sweep Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Tibet Autonomous Region, as well as Hunan and Yunnan provinces from Monday to Wednesday. Some of these regions will see precipitation of 100 mm to 120 mm. Heavy rains will hit parts of Qinghai and north China in the coming days. The weather observatory added that cold weather and rainy days will continue in the northeast Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces which are already flooded. The NMC warned local authorities to keep high alert on landslides.
