Hurricane Dalila drifts in Pacific off Mexico

Hurricane Dalila drifted away from Mexico\'s Pacific coast with little change in strength Wednesday, U.S. forecasters said. The category-1 hurricane, with maximum sustained winds above 120 kilometers per hour (kph), was about 350 kilometers west-southwest of Manzanillo, moving to the southwest at 3 kph, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said early Wednesday. There were no coastal watches or warnings in effect, but waves generated by Dalila are affecting Mexico\'s southwestern coast from near Zihuatanejo to Cabo Corrientes and could cause life-threatening surf and rip currents. Forecasters said Dalila would remain in a slow southwest motion Wednesday before shifting to the west on Thursday. Little change in strength is expected through Wednesday night, followed by a slow weakening through the day Thursday.
