Indonesia praised for preserving forests

Indonesia has been applauded for preserving its forests, which serve as storages for greenhouse gases. The remarks were made by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Thursday, as he concluded his visit to Palangka Raya, the capital of Indonesia’s Central Kalamantan province, UN Radio reported today.
