The Israeli firm SDE Sea Wave Power Plants said it is constructing facilities in China that generate electricity with the energy of ocean waves. The plant, the second of three power plants in China, is in the final stages of construction and will generate 150 kilowatts per hour, using ocean wave energy, a press release said. The plant, manufactured in Israel and assembled the $1.2 million plant in China, is in Dong Ping in Guangzhou province. In 2010, the company built its first plant in China in the Yangjiang City, in the same province. This is the 12th such model to be constructed by the company since its inception. The company plans to build a third plant that will generate 500 kilowatts per hour in Guangzhou in the near future, the statement said. \"Wave energy production is one of the most environmentally benign ways to generate electricity and compared with solar, wind and bio-mass energy production methods, the ocean is inexhaustible and a predictable and abundant potential source for 100 percent clean energy,\" the company said. Founded 16 years ago, the company has built 11 ocean wave power plants around the world in countries including Chile, Mexico, Tanzania and Kenya, the company said.
