The Kuwait Dive Team on Monday warned sea-goers and authorities of the dangers of a sunken wooden ship close to the eastern Doha Port.
The site of the sunken ship is located in a vital position opposite the Doha Port entrance thus causing danger to both divers and port traffic.
The team have kept the ship from drifting away by casting it down with anchors and adding lights that reveal its whereabouts, head of the Kuwait Dive Team Waleed Al-Fadel told KUNA.
He appealed to relevant authorities to deal hastily with the matter which affects the marine environment and port navigation, particularly as strong northerly winds are expected over the coming days.
