
Kuwait Environment Protection Society has launched "the young environmentalist program," designed to promote environmental education among the young citizens. Dr. Adiba Al-Herban, member of the wild life protection department at the association, said in a statement to KUNA on Thursday that the program is aimed at educating school children about necessity of safeguarding the environment. The program, to be executed simultaneously with the broader "green schools" program, covers 70 schools and 3,000 students. Up to 16 specialized experts from the society will be involved in the educating activity. Students will be involved in diverse entertaining activities implying the message that protecting the Kuwaiti environment is a vital necessity.
