The Environmental Voluntary Foundation announced Wednesday plans to launch a four-month voluntary drive to clean up Kuwait\'s coastline. The campaign, to be launched on November 2 and lasts four months, will be implemented in cooperation with government and non-government organizations, its chairman Waleed Al-Fadhel told KUNA. \"The Mobile Drive to Clean Up Kuwait Coastline is meant to increase people\'s awareness about the importance of environment protection activities and voluntary work to serve their society,\" added Al-Fadhel. Volunteers will tour coastlines and beaches on Saturdays and Tuesdays of every week to clean up waste, he said. The foundation will provide volunteers with all required cleaning tools and equipment, and lectures will be organized to increase the awareness of the volunteers and onlookers on the marine environment and pollution\'s grave impacts on it. The Ministry of Education, Kuwait Municipality, Ministry of Health and several companies are contributing to the goal.
