A moderate earthquake of 5.4 intensity was felt in most parts of Northwest Pakistan on Monday morning, sending frightened people running out of homes. The tremor was felt in Peshawar, Malakand, Swat, Abbottabad, Gilgit and other areas of KP as anxious people rushed out of their houses fearing a major earthquake to follow, Pakistan's (Geo News) reported. The Pakistani Metrological department said the shocks lasted for three seconds while northwest Kashmir area near Gilgit was epicenter of the quake. There were no reports of damage.
