Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, marked the Earth Hour on his tweeter on Saturday stressing the need to preserve a clean and safe environment.He also wrote “The UAE is joining the rest of the world today in celebrating Earth Hour by turning off lights & unnecessary devices for an hour at 8.30pm.”Sheikh Mohammed wrote “Sustaining our Earth remains a fundamental principle in our policies. Next generations have the right to inherit a clean & safe environment”He called on the world to cooperate to face the challenges of the changes of the global climate, saying “The unity of nations and people in addressing the challenges of climate change, is the best and shortest path in maintaining the earth’s climate”PMA Rasheed adds: The UAE joined the rest of the world on Saturday night in celebrating the Earth Hour 2013 by turning off lights and switching off unnecessary devices for an hour beginning 8.30pm.
