A responsible source at the Directorate General of Meteorology and Air Navigation (DGMAN) said that the latest satellite images indicate that rainy clouds formed over parts of Al Hajr Mountains today (Monday). The forecasts point out that these clouds will continue forming over the upcoming three days with possible thunder rains over Al Hajr Mountains and the adjoining areas. The rains may lead to overflow of wadis. It is worth mentioning that the local rains over Al Hajr Mountains occur due to heat inversion during summer when the available humidity is appropriate. The rains may be sometimes accompanied with gusty winds and hailstones.
