
The situation in the flood-stricken Far East remains tense, but it is under control, authorities say. According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry\'s reports, in the Amur Region, four municipal districts remain inundated. In three of them, 88 houses of 450 people and a total of more than 17 km of roads are flooded, and 1,132 people are evacuated. In the Jewish Autonomous Region, in two municipal districts, six settlements, 351 houses of 1,816 people, more than 125 km of roads and seven bridges are in the water, and 1,705 people are evacuated. In the Khabarovsk Territory, in nine municipal districts, 71 settlements, 2,859 houses of 23,778 people, more than three thousand gardens, 3,762 country houses, four bridges and more than 27 km of roads are flooded, and 7,525 people are evacuated. The force of rescuers and other specialists working in the Far Eastern Federal District\'s six regions numbers 44,503 people, including 11,891 of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. Thirty five planes and helicopters are used in the work, including nine EMERCOM aircraft.
