Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazi met on Monday with the director of the Multinational Force in Sinai.
Talks tackled the role played by the Egyptian Armed Forces to facilitate the mission of the force in Sinai given the current challenges.
The official lauded the Egyptian army's role in preserving security and stability in Sinai, wishing more stability to Egypt which he considered the valve of safety in the region.
A number of army commanders attended the talks.
