
The first meeting for the Qatar-Hungarian commission for economic, business and technical cooperation was held Thursday in Budapest with discussions touching on cooperation ties between the two countries in the economic, commercial and investment fields.
HE Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al-Thani led the Qatari side, while the Hungarian side was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Laslo Sabo.
In an opening speech, HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim said the progress in Qatari-Hungarian ties is the result of the wise leadership in both countries and their keenness on pushing mutual relations towards more cooperation and coordination, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce said in a statement.
The Qatari minister stressed the importance of following up on what the meeting agreed on in the fields of economy, commercial exchange, cooperation between chambers of commerce and industry to activate investment in the fields of trade, construction, infrastructure, water management, food industry, scientific and technological cooperation, health, education, energy and sports.
