The French Development Agency (AFD), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) are preparing a new credit line for Tunisia which could reach 100 million euros.
According to Tunisia News Agency (TAP), the credit line is dedicated specifically to the sectors of energy efficiency, development of renewable energy and depollution.
In a press statement, AFD Deputy Director Benoit Lehanneur said that the project, which will take effect in early 2016, includes support for local banks to catalyze the financing of those activities.
He noted that the banks must be given proper means and support their financial viability so as to be able to finance the institutions.
