Fayyoum Governor Wael Makram on Tuesday attended a signing ceremony of a joint cooperation protocol between the governorate and major Chinese companies to launch a number of projects.
The projects cover areas of smart garages and garbage recycling.
The protocol will help develop a general framework for the establishment of a giant project to recycle waste and garbage with the aim of generating biogas and electricity, along with establishing multi-storey smart garages across the governorate, the governor said.
He added that the governorate would do its best and provide all facilities to implement these agreements.
These projects will be carried out with investments, estimated between $30m and $35m for the garbage recycling projects, and $5.5m to $8m in the field of multi-storey smart garages, the governor said.
