
Sudanese President Omar al Bashir will lead on Saturday his country's delegation to the 5th Extraordinary Islamic Summit in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta.
The summit, under the theme "United for Just Solution", will discuss the latest developments of situations in the Palestinian territories and Al-Quds.
In statements to Sudan News Agency (SUNA), charge d'affaires at Sudan Embassy in Indonesia Tareq Abdullah Al-Toam said that the summit will approve two documents, one is Jakarta Declaration and the second a decision on practical steps for supporting the Palestinian cause.
The two-day summit with start with a preparatory meeting of senior officials on March 6. This will be followed by a meeting of foreign ministers, with the outcomes of the first day of deliberations forwarded to the leaders of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states on March 7.
The summit comes against the backdrop of unprecedented Israeli violations in the occupied city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem), the West Bank and of the unjust blockade on the Gaza Strip
