
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed with Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Secretary General Sindiso Ngwenya preparations for holding a summit in Egypt grouping the three economic blocs in Africa; the COMESA , SADC and the East African Community.
The summit will discuss setting up the biggest free trade zone between the three blocs to double trade among member states, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Aatti.
Talks, that came on the sidelines of Egypt Economic Development Conference currently in session here, also tackled benefiting from the Egyptian Partnership Agency for Development in boosting cooperation among COMESA members.
The COMESA chief offered his condolences over the Egyptian Copts who were killed lately in Libya by Daesh militants.
