German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his Greek counterpart Nikos Kotzias will to meet in Berlin Sunday to discuss Athens' bid to renegotiate its European-led rescue plan.
German news agency DPA reported that a spokeswoman for Merkel reiterated today that Germany wants Greece to remain in the Eurozone.
The meeting between the two Foreign Ministers comes a day before the meeting between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, who is making his first visit to Berlin since his party came to power in January on a promise to end the austerity imposed on Greeks under the aid programme.
