Egypt's Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman signed a number of memoranda of understanding Thursday with a group of Chinese companies working the fields of the fiberglass and pharmaceutical production.
Under the memos, the Chinese companies would help increasing Egyptian productivity in these two domains.
They were signed on the sidelines of the visit made by Chinese President Xi Jinping to Cairo.
The minister has also witnessed the signing of a contract for the restructuring and the development of some textile companies run by the state.
The contract was signed by the Cotton & Textile Industries Holding Company (CTIHC) and an US-based consulting company.
