Addressing the Nile Day celebration organized by the Kenyan government, in cooperation with the secretariat of the Nile basin initiative, Moghazi noted that it coincided with Egypt’s hosting of COMESA’s summit Africa 2016.
The ceremony was also attended by water resources ministers of Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Sudan, a number of other senior officials from these countries as well as from Burundi, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Rwanda, in addition to foreign ambassadors to Kenya.
In a related development, Egypt took part in a strategic dialogue meeting prior to the celebration
