Secretary General of Luxor governorate Adel Mahran has met with a Chinese delegation under the head of the cooperation sector at the Chinese commerce ministry to discuss issues related to changing location of the Chinese garden project, which is scheduled to be built in Luxor.
The project was scheduled to be located near Luxor general hospital to overlook the Nile but this area is part of Luxor development plan and the hospital will be expanded, said Mahran.
Alternative locations were chosen and the Chinese side will choose the best available location, he added.
The head of the cooperation sector at the Chinese commerce ministry, meanwhile, hailed ties binding Egypt and China, adding that the Chinese government is keen on supporting Egypt's tourism.
The Chinese garden project, which is offered as a grant to Luxor governorate, aims to lure tourists to this historical city, he added.
