
Two major Asian Energy companies, Edra and CGN, will pump billions of dollars into Egypt through massive investments in establishing two power stations in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egyptian Ambassador to Malaysia Salah Mohi Eldin Elwassimy said.
As of next April, work visits by teams from both companies to Egypt will start to finalize the executive phases of the new power plant projects.
Highlighting the contributions of Malaysia to energy in Egypt over the past 12 years, Elwassimy said that the Asian country supplies Egypt with 12.5% of its main energy network production.
Elwassimy made the remarks after meeting with the directors of both companies on Thursday.
