A Saudi cargo plane, laden with relief and foodstuff, arrived in Kabul this evening for its payload to be distributed over the underprivileged in Afghanistan upon directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
At the airport, the plane was received by Saudi ambassador to Afghanistan Dr. Abdulsamad Hami and senior Afghani officials.
The ambassador expressed thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for this generous gesture to brothers in this country.
For his part, the Chief of Religious Affairs at the Presidential palace Numan Shinwari also thanked the monarch for providing Afghanis with this valuable gift.
Giving an account on the contents of the consignment, he said it contains 1000 pyramid-like tens, 4000 foodstuff cartoons, 200 carpets and 500 blankets.
