The assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs Charles Rivkin underlined, Wednesday, the Unites States’ support to the Algerian authorities’ efforts for the development of a sustainable economy.
Speaking at the Algerian week devoted to investment and affairs “Doing Business in Algeria” which is being held in Washington DC (USA), Rivkin hailed the Algerian government’s efforts to develop a sustainable and diversified economy.
In this regard, the American diplomat called his country’s companies to contribute to the achievement of this goal through pragmatic but mutually beneficial partnerships with their Algerian counterparts.
In addition, Algeria’s political stability “spared it from the turmoil that hit many neighboring countries in the region following the Arab Spring events.”
“Algeria has the luxury to take decisions for a better future for its population,” he added.
