
South Korea's antitrust watchdog said Thursday that it has fined 11 builders a combined 99.1 billion won (US$93.6 million) for collusion in the bidding process for a state-run large-scale waterway construction project from 2009-2011. Those subject to the fine include major builders such as Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., SK Engineering & Construction Co., Daelim Industrial Co., Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Samsung C&T Corp. and GS Engineering & Construction Co., according to the Fair Trade Commission (FTC).
