Consumer confidence in Abu Dhabi rose six points year-on-year in the quarter ending March 31, says the Department of Economy Abu Dhabi. According to the Consumer Confidence Index report for first quarter of 2012, the level of consumer optimism reached at 126 points from 120 points during the same period a year ago. The index included five indicators that monitor the conditions of Emirati households, business cycle, confidence in business climate and the performance of the industrial sector. The index showed improvement in the economic indicators during the first quarter compared with the first quarter of 2011, the report said.
