A latest shipment of humanitarian aid was delivered on Sunday to the residents of Yarmouk Camp in Damascus, who continue to suffer harsh conditions under the siege imposed on them by terrorist groups.
The supplies included 350 food packages, bringing the total number of food packages destributed in Yarmouc Camp since January, 2014 to over 46,600, as estimated by Ali Mustafa, the Director of the General Administration for Palestine Arab Refugees (GAPAR).
The GAPAR has been carrying out the process of aid deliver and distribution along with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), with the full support, participation and facilitations of the Syrian government.
Yarmouk Camp, a neighborhood in southern Damascus, houses Palestinian refugees and Syrian citizens, who have been trapped there by terrorist organizations since late 2012.
Earlier, Mustafa put the number of packages containing medical supplies delivered in the neighborhood since early 2014 at more than 6, 949.
A medical center affiliated to the UNRWA has been set at the sites where aid is destributed in Yarmouk Camp to provide treatment and medicines to patients.
Terrorists organizations have repeatedly attempted to hinder the implementation of any initiatives or agreements to end the crisis of the residents of Yarmouk Camp and to deliver humanitarian aid.
