Discussions on the negative list of 1,260 products, which Algeria wants to limit imports from member countries of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area (GAFTA) (GAFTA) is still ongoing, said Friday Alger, director of FTAs monitoring, Said Djellab. \"The negotiations on this list of 1260 under tariff are ongoing,\" he said during a press conference as part of the fiftieth anniversary of independence. Submitted to the Arab League execution and monitoring Committee of the Economic and Social Council (ESC), nearly three years ago, this list \"was established in accordance with Article 15 of the Agreement of Algeria Adherence to the GAFTA, \"he said. The 86th session of the ESC held in September 2011 in Cairo, postponed to December 2011 then to June 2012, the review of the list of developed unilaterally by Algeria. \"The ESC has asked about the validity of the list. Currently, we are in the process of making the necessary arguments for each product on the list,\" he said.
