
The Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain has today signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on streamlining visa procedures for holders of diplomatic and special passports.Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla and British Ambassador Iain Lindsay sealed the agreement, which took effect today – April 6. Under the deal, Bahraini citizens, holders of diplomatic and special passports have the right to travel to the UK without visas, for tourism or official visits, for up to six months. British nationals, holders of diplomatic passports, diplomatic couriers and holders of passports as envoys of the Queen also have the right to travel to Bahrain on official visits for up six months.
