The 24th Autumn Fair will open on January 23 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro will patronize the event, scheduled to run until January 31. The Arabian Exhibition Management is organizing the fair, which will be packed with over 700 exhibitors from 20 countries. Bahrain Exhibitions and Conferences Authority (BECA) Chief Executive Officer Hassan Jaafar stressed the important contribution of the fair to the national economy as well as positive dividends benefiting the business sector and tourism industry. He also emphasized the crucial role of the Autumn Fair in projecting Bahrain' standing as prime centre for trade and business tourism and promoting competitive prices and encouraging traders to showcase better goods for shoppers. The 13,300 square metre shopping extravaganza showcases thousands of products from across the globe. A huge variety of goods will go on sale during this 9 day period, ranging from specialty food, fashion and furniture; to technology, toys, textiles and much more. Mr. Hassan said that over 90 Bahraini companies would take part in the Autumn Fair 2013. Bahrain craftsmen and productive families, will also take part, building up on their strong participation in last year's edition. He pointed out that the Industry and Commerce Ministry –represented by Bahrain Exhibitions and Conventions Authority and the Arabian Exhibition Management- would not levy fees on craftsmen and productive families. Opening hours at the Autumn Fair 2013 have been extended, allowing visitors more time to shop and browse in comfort. The exhibition will open daily to the public from 12 pm - 10 pm on 23 January, 10 am - 2 pm and 4 pm 10 pm on 24 January, 12 pm - 10 pm on 25 January, 10 am - 2 pm and 4 pm - 10 pm on 26, 27, 28 and 29 January, and from 10 am to 10 pm on 30 and 31 January. Special ladies only mornings will take place on 27 and 28 January.
