The Housing Ministry today started designating the beneficiaries of 75 housing units in the Jaw and Al Dour housing projects.
The move is within the Housing Ministry's programme to distribute 6166 units across the kingdom, in implementation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's directives to distribute housing units in the completed projects or those in progress in order to meet the housing needs, as part of the project to build 40,000 units within the next few years.
Housing Ministry's Undersecretary Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said that the ministry had already started distributing to units announced by Minister Bassim bin Yaaqoob Al Hamar during a press conference last Monday, noting that the distribution process will continue in the coming period according to the pre-set schedule.
Assistant Undersecretary for Policies and Housing Services Dr. Khalid Al-Haidan stated that the ministry had started contacting beneficiaries of the Jaw and Al-Dour housing projects as soon as the minister announced the distribution of 6166 units.
He added that the beneficiaries attended the electronic draw held for the designation of the project's units and received their official documents.
