
Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Abdulla Fakhro has affirmed the solid deep-rooted Bahraini-British relations, dating back to over a century, noting that joint cooperation agreements have reflected positively on the two friendly countries. This came as Dr. Fakhro met here today the British Ambassador to Bahrain Iain Lindsay, in the presence of a number of officials from the Industry and Commerce Ministry. They reviewed ways of bolstering the deep-rooted bilateral economic relations in a way that meets the aspirations of the two kingdoms' leaderships. The Minister expressed the appreciation of the government and Ministry of Industry and Commerce to the efforts of the British Embassy in Bahrain to promote the kingdom as a home to world investments, given its landmark legal infrastructure, positive investment atmosphere and economic stability which entitle to attract mega international companies. He affirmed the constant keenness of the leadership and the government in Bahrain to consolidate the kingdom's economy and maintain its advanced level. Ambassador Lindsay expressed sincere appreciation to the leadership and the government for their efforts to enhance economic ties between the two friendly countries, highlighting the efforts of the British Embassy in Bahrain and the Bahraini Embassy in London to develop economic ties and encourage British investors to invest in Bahrain, being the host to various international investments. He said that his country welcomes any activities or promotional programmes to be launched by Bahrain in Britain.
