
Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro stressed the keenness of the leadership and government to develop Bahrain relations with various countries of the world and boost cooperation. He underlined the historic visits undertaken by his Majesty the King to nay major countries which focused on developing relations in order to achieve public interest.
This came during a meeting with New Zealand Special Envoy for government business affairs Alex Matheson, who was accompanied by second secretary of New Zealand Embassy resident in Riyadh Mr. Adriaan Barnard, in presence of Undersecretary of Commerce Affairs Nader Al Moayyed.
They discussed and reviewed the bilateral relation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and New Zealand including the economic and trade relations. The minister stressed the importance of such mutual visits and meetings in enhancing investment and economic relations, in addition to the role in identifying potential opportunities available in both countries and exchange experiences.
The two sides considered ways of cooperation and partnership in all fields especially food security which is is of utmost importance to the government and the Ministry in particular.
Dr. Fakhro also reviewed potential and investment opportunities offered by the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain for investors from all over the world and the procedures and privileges offered by big investment projects, especially in the fields of Industry and Commerce. Mr. Alex Matheson highly appreciated the government and the Ministry for their efforts in enhancing economic relation between New Zealand and Bahrain, stressed the importance of exerting more efforts to deepen joint ties.
