Bahraini-Malaysian economic relations discussed

Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Board Chairman Dr. Essam Abdullah Fakhro stressed the chamber\'s keenness to boost economic cooperation with Malaysia. He said Bahrain and Malaysia have got great opportunities to enhance bilateral economic, trade and investment relations, stressing the private sector\'s keenness to promote trade cooperation with Malaysia. He was speaking at a meeting with Malaysian Ambassador to Bahrain Ahmed Shahzan Abdulsamad and a delegation representing the Malaysian National Chamber for Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development. The meeting was attended by BCCI Acting Chief Executive Nabil Abdulrahman Al Mahmood. Dr. Fakhro underlined the need to explore economic, trade and investment opportunities in both countries, stressing BCCI\'s readiness to coordinate with relevant parties to boost economic and investment relations with Malaysia. He called on Bahraini businessmen to maintain strong contact with their Malaysian counterparts mainly to ensure food safety, promote tourism and exchange expertise.
