His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who was accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, today paid a visit to the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), in line with their keen desire to support the trade and economic march in the kingdom.The two Princes met with BCCI\'s Chairman and members and affirmed the government\'s incessant support for the trade sector and determination to remove all obstacles facing the trade momentum.HRH Premier called for the need to push the commercial activity in the kingdom forward and take advantage of the wide-range of strong regional and international relations enjoyed by the kingdom thanks to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa\'s wise policies to boost it.HRH Premier pointed out that the trade sector is the most affected by instability, and therefore, traders\' rejection of attempts to destabilize the kingdom\'s security has to be backed.\"Any economic or political crisis will affect us all-countries and peoples, so we are required to step up our collaboration in order to face it collectively,\" he warned.HRH Crown Prince hailed the kingdom\'s milestone achievements and economic and trade prosperity, lauding HRH Premier\'s landmark contributions in this regard.\"He who does not thank HRH Prime Minister for his key role in building the nation and achieving its progress and prosperity is ungrateful and far away from the truth,\" he affirmed.HRH Premier urged the trade sector to support the government\'s policies to maintain the stability of prices and ensure that the citizens receive goods at the lowest prices, calling for the need to diversify sources of imports, look for new markets and create more purchase opportunities for the citizens, which will consolidate food security.HRH Premier affirmed the need to ensure that the trade sector makes optimum benefits from the kingdom\'s economic pioneering position and prestigious international status.He emphasized that security and stability are the cornerstones of development, pledging the government\'s resolve to confront all attempts to undermine them or obstruct the national development process, in which the government and the private sector are partners.The Prime Minister said that the trade community has to make its voice heard by rejecting terrorism and those behind it since it is the most affected by it, emphasizing that united stances should be the strong shield that protects the kingdom\'s hard-won achievements, the outcome of joint efforts of the government and the trade sector.HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince reviewed a number of issues related to the trade sector and ways of spurring it through availing of the government\'s incentives and facilities.They voiced strong confidence in the private sector\'s ability to revitalize the economy and increase its contributions to all development sectors.They expressed pride in the landmark contributions and giving of Bahraini people, including traders and merchants, to the kingdom\'s national march, which consolidated the national economy and enhanced its competitiveness.\"The success of the government in making the private sector an essential partner in the development march encourages us to expand the scope of that partnership,\" they said, stressing that the government will continue providing all kinds of support for the private sector through consolidating its participation in putting forward future economic policies, within a joint vision aiming to boost the national economy through developing various economic sectors so as to generate more job opportunities for the citizens.They added that the government\'s policies are focused on diversifying sources of revenue, spurring the economic development and creating a favourable infrastructure to attract local and foreign investments and ensure decent living standards for the citizens.On his part, BCCI Chairman Dr. Isam Abdulla Fakhro lauded the visit of HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince to meet the trade community and review the latest economic developments.He praised their sound directives aiming to consolidate partnership with the private sector.He affirmed that BCCI supports strongly the government and its efforts to develop the national economy, commending the efforts of the two princes in backing BCCI.
