Bahraini Royal Charity Organisation projects hailed

Secretary-General of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed Al-Amine received here today the Head of the Coordination and Follow up unit at the Arab League\'s Secretariat-General\'s Social Affairs Sector Dr. Tariq Nabil Al-Nabulsi and the Director of Social Affairs at the Executive Bureau of the GCC Social Affairs Ministers Mohammed Ali Hafedh. During the meeting, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed briefed the delegation on RCO\'s history, the number of orphans and widows sponsored by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and beneficiaries of RCO\'s services. He also shed light on RCO\'s efforts to take care of orphans in order to enable them to pursue their education, development projects and relief aid provided for needy people outside the kingdom, in line with the directives of HM the King, RCO\'s Honourary President, and the Chairman of RCO\'s Board of Trustees Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. On his part, Tariq Nabil Al Nabulsi expressed admiration of HM the King\'s support for RCO\'s work, under the leadership of Shaikh Nasser, lauding RCO\'s work method and projects inside and outside the kingdom. He proposed enhancing cooperation between RCO and the Arab League, with RCO as a world think tank providing technical assistance for the Arab League in its relief and humanitarian projects. In this regard, they agreed to study the issue further in order to reach an official agreement and sign a Memorandum of Understanding. He also lauded HM the king\'s support for the Palestinian people, praising the stances of the Government and the people of Bahrain in this regard. He commended Shaikh Nasser\'s efforts to mobilise support for the Palestinians and the landmark achievements of RCO, under his leadership. He wished Bahrain continuous security and stability, under HM King Hamad\'s wise leadership. It is worth noting that RCO implemented many development projects in the Gaza Strip, including the Bahrain Health Centre in Khan Younes and a library for children in Al-Fakhoura School, and manufactured Prostheses for 1000 disabled women, men and children there.
