Bashir lauds alert of armed forces and ministry of oil

President of the Republic, Field marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has lauded the alert of the Armed Forces, the regular forces and the Ministry of Oil and its working patriotic cadres. Addressing the inaugural sitting of the seventh session of the National Legislature Monday, President Al-Bashir said that the Ministry of Oil and its working patriotic cadres were able to provide stable petroleum supply for Sudan, and even exported 200,000 metric tons of benzene to abroad of covering the local consumption need. He said that the youths of Sudan and the alert of the Armed Forces and the other regular forces have aborted all the plots which were aimed for weakening Sudan, referring to aggression on Heglig. He said the Ministry of Oil and its patriotic cadres were able produce 10,000 barrels per day, 6,000 barrels per day at Barasaya, adding that the daily production rate has increased at Block 2, 4 and 6 from 99,000 barrels per day in April 2012 to 130,000 barrels per day in March 2013.
