Belhasa Engineering and Contracting Company, or BECC, is currently working on four new projects in Dubai, One of the new projects — a nine-storey building that will include commercial and residential units — was ordered by Juma Al Majid Abdullah, with Design & Architecture Bureau as the consultant.. BECC has started the excavation process in the Al Hamriya area, near Burjuman Centre. The building will be handed over by January 2014. The construction process for another project for Easa Saleh Al Gurg has started in the Oud Metha area, which will be delivered in early 2014. BECC has also completed the whole structure of a 28-storey tower for RAM Limited in the Al Jadaf area, which will include commercial and residential units. The fourth project is handled on behalf of Badri Real Estate, with Design Concept as its consultant. The 16-storey residential tower being built in the Al Barsha area will be ready by November 2013, with BECC already completing the ground floor. “Starting up in 1977 with just one truck, one concrete mixer and twenty labourers, BECC has grown into one of the most prominent construction contractors in the UAE,” said Eng Majed Ahmed Belhasa, director of BECC. “BECC’s strategy is to expand the company presence and develop unique projects in Dubai and the GCC,” added Munjid Salih, general manager of BECC. Today, BECC is one of Dubai’s largest contracting companies. Over the past decades, the firm has built several landmarks such as hotels, mosques, high-rise towers, shopping malls, hospitals, industrial installations and governmental buildings.
